The Book Babes will be the captain of your team, but insist that you come in as a “co-captain.”
The Book Babes believe in personal ongoing communication, through formal and informal meetings, phone calls and emails. Your first appointment, typically done in a meeting with all three Book Babes, will last approximately two hours. Shortly after, you will receive a time assessment of your project, which will include financial estimates, an organizational and marketing game plan, a critique of your book and a detailed write-up with suggestions and goals.
The Book Babes ask that you send all book-related materials you have prior to the first meeting so they can get a feel for what your book is about. During the appointment, they will ask plenty of questions and take detailed notes that are written up in a recap and sent to you via email within a few days. This allows you to fully listen, ask questions, absorb what is said, and ask more questions.
Along with setting you on the right path, part of The Book Babes process is connecting you with the right book professionals who can help you bring your project to completion.
These referrals—editors, book printers, agents, copywriters, and more—are trusted individuals who will be just as dedicated to getting a quality book to the marketplace as you are. The Book Babes receive no compensation for the extensive referrals they make. What they do get is the satisfaction that the work done on your behalf will be top-notch.
After the initial kickoff meetings or teleconferences, The Book Babes follow your progress, monitoring deadlines and encouraging (and goosing when necessary) you along the way. With their guidance, you won’t flounder, waste time or feel alone.
